I started at the age of 16 as a circus performer and spent 10 years touring the world as part of a 5 man comedy acrobatic troupe. Performance highlights included working in the London Palladium Show in Toronto, Canada with the legendary Petula Clark, we had the privilege of being invited to perform on the Children’s Royal Variety Performance, we performed with many household names and did many TV shows around Europe including Stars in Der Manage with Hollywood icon Tony Curtis.

I retired as a performer in 1992 and for the last 33 years I’ve been the founder/director of Acrobat Productions Ltd working as show producer/director, creative director and specialist consultant working in global live events for major brands, theatre, television, commercials & film. Projects have included everything from The Brit Awards and MTV Awards to countless large scale global live events and music videos with the likes of David Bowie, George Michael & Kylie Minogue.

During my time in the entertainment industry I’ve always been a passionate photographer and film maker from the days of Betamax camcorders up until today’s mirrorless cinema cameras. When the Covid pandemic hit and the live entertainment shut down for almost 2 years, it was a logical step to invest my time & passion into photography & film and launched Ashridge Media, my corporate videography & photography business and now RogerShoots which reflects some of my more personal work.

I still work as a show producer & consultant when an interesting project comes around but in photography & film I found a new creative freedom.

I’m passionate about working with performers, artists and creatives but equally I’m inspired by anyone or thing that has an interesting story to tell.
